Plein Air Schedule May 2012
All artists interested in painting or sketching are welcome to join us on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There is no fee and we welcome artists of all skill levels. Call Chris Weber at 985-1464 or email at art1chris@msn.com for more information.
May 1 - Show and Tell and site planning meeting after lunch - bring recent paintings to share or for critique - Surfers Point Park - Across from the Ventura County Fairgrounds - Take Hwy 101 N and exit at California St. Turn left and then an immediate right on Harbor Blvd. Go to Figueroa and turn left. Follow Figueroa to paid parking in second lot on beach on the left. Parking is $2.00 for the day.
May 8 - Olivas Adobe - Ventura - Take Hwy 101 to Victoria exit and turn south towards Oxnard. Go to Olivas Park Dr. and turn right. Look for adobe entrance next to golf course on the left.
May 15 - Help Of Ojai - gardens - Next to City Hall - 111 Santa Ana St., Ojai - Take Hwy 101 to Ojai 33 to Hwy 150 and straight into town to S Ventura St. (a block before the post office) and turn right. Go a short distance to W Santa Ana St. and turn right to Help.
May 22 - El Estero Salt Flats - Carpenteria Beach - Take Hwy 101 towards Santa Barbara and exit in Carpenteria on Casitas Pass Rd. Turn left and go to Carpinteria Ave. and turn right. Go to the first signal which is Linden Ave. and turn left. Go to the last street before the beach which is Sandyland and turn right to end and parking.
May 29 - Libbey Park - Ojai - Take Hwy 101 to Ojai Hwy 33 to Hwy 150 into Ojai. Libbey Park is on the right across from the arcade shops of Ojai. Meet near the fountain.

June 5 - Lookout Park - Summerland - Take Hwy 101 N to Summerland and exit on Evans St. Turn left under bridge to beach park.
June 12 - Fountain and Promenade in Camarillo - Behind 751 Daily Dr. - This is a commercial area of shops and Dr's offices. Look for fountain on the right after you park behind the building and meet there - Take Hwy 101 S towards LA and exit on Las Posas Rd. Turn left and go a short distance to E Daily Dr. and turn right. Turn right at stop sign to stay on Daily Dr. and go about 1/2 mile to 751 and turn left to parking behind the buildings.
June 19 - Upper parking lot of City Hall Ventura - Take Hwy 101 N to Ventura and exit at California St. and turn right. Go to end of California St. and turn right on Poli St. and then an immediate left turn to upper parking lot of City Hall.
June 26 - Peninsula Park - 3701 Peninsula Rd. - Channel Islds. Harbor - Take Hwy 101 to Victoria exit and turn towards Oxnard. Go to Channel Islds. Blvd. and turn right. Go one block to Peninsula and turn left. Go about 1/2 mile to entrance to park on your right.
