This is a basic class for owners of a point-and-shoot or DSLR camera that want to learn more about navigating through all the camera modes. Basic photography terms and concepts will also be introduced. We will discuss the very basic operation of Digital cameras, such as setting your camera’s resolution, basic flash operation, basic menu functions, memory cards, storage and more.

This class is not specific to any particular camera manufacturer.

Bring your camera and, if you have it, the owner’s manual.

Painting on Yupo
An Alternative Watecolor Surface

Come loosen up with an alternative to traditional watercolor using Yupo, a synthetic paper made of plastic. This material will help you create intensely colored, spontaneous and textural work. Use pouring and gestural application processes to get started. You can stamp, draw, collage and paint on this unique paper. Yupo paper and other materials are provided. Please bring your own watercolors and regular brushes. Purchase chinese “hake” brushes and sponge rollers to further manipulate the paint.
